OOTD: Transitioning to Spring

Mondays call for excess amounts of coffee.

Hi loves! It’s been a while since my last post, and I’m going to go ahead and blame the weather ;P Winter refuses to leave us, and I have been in a bit of a funk. I’m dreaming of spring and have been accumulating a bunch of new things I can’t wear yet, ugh! This past Saturday we got a bit of a taste though… lower 60’s and cloudy, I’ll take it! Sure, it rained half the day…but that wasn’t going to stop me from pulling my sandals out of the closet.

I began my look around this floral bomber from h&m HERE. Bombers are so easy to wear, and are perfect for this time of year when the weather is still transitioning. I love the light satin material and that it’s a very muted floral print. My wardrobe isn’t too colorful…even in the Spring and Summer, I still gravitate towards the neutrals, so I was happy to find this bomber. I loved the added detail of the varsity trim. It makes the feminine floral print a little more sporty and casual. It would look great even with some joggers and sneakers.

For this look, I paired it with a basic black bodysuit from Zara. I went the safe route, but I would even do a black and white striped top to mix prints. The mom jeans I’m wearing are from Shein HERE. Short girl problems: when your cropped jeans fit you like regular jeans *eye roll*. Still, I love the fit of these jeans because they are still tight on the bum, so I don’t lose my shape. I also really liked the light distressing of them and that they are a lighter denim, which I tend to wear more in Spring.

To make them look a little more cropped, you can just add a higher heel…but I wanted to be comfortable to run errands and such, so I chose these studded ones from forever 21 (last year). These are literally almost identical to the Isabel Marant Jaeryn sandals which retail for almost $700. I was so happy to find these for about $30 (fake it till you make it ;)) Similar Style HERE. Studded shoes in general are great for an added edgy detail.

What’s the weather like where you live? Are you battling winter too? I want to continue with these transitioning looks, weather permitting… so stay tuned! I hope you enjoyed this look. Have a great week!

  1. Where I live stays pretty warm to hot a majority of the year. A floral print bomber combines two of my favorite things. Apart from the pollen, Spring is one of my favorite seasons.
