What I Wore: feat. Check Print

Hi Babes…I’m back! Remember my last post when I said I wanted to be more active on here in 2018? Yeah…that’s going well…lol. I have so many looks I want to shoot, but it’s been unbearable this Winter, and I really don’t know how to fake that I am not standing in negative degree weather πŸ˜‰

I decided to combine two looks today involving check print that are perfect for work, or out of work. Check print has been really trendy this season, and it’s going to continue into Spring. For my first look, I did this blazer that I’ve had for years now purchased at a boutique that isn’t even open anymore, but it’s still one of my favorite blazers in my closet. I love that it’s a thick tweed material, making it a great layering piece for winter. The elbow pads give me grandpa vibes and I am here for it! I found an almost identical oneΒ HERE.

I layered it over a mock neck and decided to belt the jacket. The belt really changes up the vibe of this menswear blazer and makes it a lot more chic. You can find belts like this for under $2 at the thrift store like I did, and they make such a statement over anything. I finished with corduroy pants and pointed booties from Zara.

My second look features these beautiful check print pants I got from the latest Zara sale. I loved the button detail on them, and that they were a flare pant. They were actually meant to be cropped but, short girl problems.

The ways to wear these are endless, but I tried something a little different and wore it with a huge over-sized sweater dress from h&m (sold-out but similar HERE). I wouldn’t normally wear loose with loose, but because these were a flare pant, I kinda liked how the sweater fell over it in an effortless way. I made sure to do the same pointed booties to enhance the flare and make me look a little longer. I think belting the sweater would’ve been super cute also.

Which look is your favorite?

Till the next one loves!
