If you live in the North East, then you know we are officially at that weird stage of weather where it’s chilly in the morning and you think you can get all cozy in a sweater, but then by noon you’re literally sweating…lol. I am trying desperately to make fall happen, especially with my outfits. But if it’s still around 80 degrees where you are, I hope these looks can serve some inspiration for how you can start transitioning your wardrobe VERY slowly to fall.
Even if it’s still hot out, you can still incorporate the animal print trend. Here I am wearing a thrifted snakeprint top that buttons in the front, but instead I left it open and tied the bottom for a warmer vibe. Culottes are also a great option, they are super flowly and breathable, and getting them in a dark color is a great way to transition. Mules are also a must! I will wear mine until there is snow in the ground 😉
Lightweight tops like the one I wore here are perfect for this time of year. They are lightweight, but still a long sleeve. I paired it with jeans, but kept my accessories very summery with woven flats and a straw bag. Also, trend alert: all the silky scarves! These are a big trend right now and you can wear them so many ways. You can also shop them anywhere right now.
Dresses are always a good option for transitional weather, but for this look I wore a lightweight cardigan as my dress. You can scrunch up the sleeves if it gets a bit hot, but it’s literally the coziest cardigan ever even though it’s very light. It also comes in a rust color but brown tones are really in for this fall! You can shop it HERE. I also wore another scarf here tied around my bun.
Stay tuned for a fall trends post coming next! Hope you enjoyed this quick WIW. As always, comment your favorite 🙂
